So I'm sorta on a philosophy rabbit trail at the moment regarding the word "vagueness" as it related to the philosophy encyclopedia.
Which got me to think about philosophy in itself and what I used to think of it.
I hated it, I thought it was opinions from old dead guys about their interpretations on life. Which I guess is true to some point, but utterly false in it's essence.
Philosophy isn't perfect, in the sense that there are paradoxes and difficulties and unanswered questions, but don't think that philosophy is a broken and defunct human invention.
Philosophy is the foundation for understanding and HOW to think. Not what to think, but the ability to analyze and make a more sound judgement when confronted with new and old information.
So many things I poo poo'd as a kid.. a ignorant fuck nugget I was. Formal education was one, and that was due to being in a shitty education system, in a country with a shitty government and a shitty economic system.
That's the trick, it's not one single thing, it's a whole fucking myriad of things.
Knowledge is power, sadly you come to realize you're just another fucking observer in your squishy meat suit on the 3rd rock from sol. It's weird, life.. the rat race that is.. the festering pox filled ignorant masses playing 2nd fiddle to their development stage of hormones, shuttling ignorant offspring from one social academic sporting event to the next, till you've lost sight of what you were doing just after high school and 4 stone later you've jellied your wrinkly grey matter into something smoother than a baby's arse.
Unless you've got the wherewith all to reevaluate your life and everything you think you know. You've grown bored of the music, the movies, the next thing, you don't like your job as it's not who you are, you can't figure out where or what you want to do.... you panic at the turn of a decade and reflect on what you have or haven't done and panic about what you have and don't have in your life.
Your plans have changed so much since you started you can't even see what was behind you... The sights & sounds of yesterday bring those sights & sounds to mind.
I need to read more....

Discourse is the only means of being able to communicate with one another. Assuming one person knows things that you know is not realistic. Spam will be deleted, fallacious messages will be pointed out as such, and educating the reader is not the objective.
