indoctrination

 listening to old C/W compilation I have.. Your Cheatin Heart... There's A Star Spangled Banner Somewhere country song came on.. got me thinking about how indoctrinated we've been for generations, sold on this bill of goods called freedom... I think maybe at one point there was something like that, but I also think that people go to war when evil remains unchecked. The deranged powers that come into being through whatever means, politics, business, religion... the ebb and flow, the evolutionary course that humanity is on.. it's always present. 

Is balance a trap? That is from a  social perspective, to take a centrist view about humanity I believe it is. Especially with politics, to say that ideologies or beliefs based on on humanities best interest, ones that set aside a special place for specific groups or groups that say they are better than others (racism/fascism/religious extremism/et al.) are cancer to human advancement... though I also question this, as I question it all. I'm convinced that reality is a number of things, 1) this must be some sort of torture - the highs/lows, the victories/defeats, the chasing after the past as the past becomes no more, the passing of friends and family... so this gets me thinking, why is my mindset in this manner... you are what you eat, what you consume what you spend your time on.. then there is the undeniable facts of the biological processes that we are held hostage to, our physiology, our genetics, our environment, et al.

Things beyond our control, so again I have serious doubts about this reality being anything other than an elaborate illusion for torture or prison at best. If we are born from stardust, from particles, the fundamental building blocks of the universe... and yet the things we humans do...

But is this a fallacious position? These things I struggle with, along with my mental instability to accept it all or my inability to understand do to limitations... lack of knowledge..
